Frank Viverito is the President of the St. Louis Sports Commission and he was on KMOX-AM last night talking about the broadcast of the National Sportsmanship Awards presented by Maryville University. The program airs tonight on Newschannel 5 in St. Louis at 7 p.m. and re-airs this Father's Day at 11 a.m. For those who don't know, Frank's the boss around here - not just my boss - the boss. I say that because as serious as Frank is about the work we do with sportsmanship and bringing high-profile sporting events to St. Louis, he also has a sense of humor. Who do you think The Adventures of Frank and Big Sol is based on? Along with respect, civility, fair play, and integrity - you have to remember to have fun. Anyway, listen to the podcast of Frank's interview with Chris Kerber and Scott Warman of KMOX below (email subscribers click here).
I'm not done just yet. During the 10 p.m. newscast last night, Newschannel 5 previewed one of the 2011 National Sportsmanship Awards stories. You can view that video below (email subscribers click here). That's it for now, but make sure to tune in to Newschannel 5 tonight at 7 p.m. for the premiere of the 2011 National Sportsmanship Awards presented by Maryville University. I'll also be on with a live tweetcast during the show. You can find me at www.twitter.com/TheRealBigSol. Until next time...
Be a Good Sport!
