Today, the United States turns 235 years old. This day isn't about fireworks, barbecue or parades. It's not even about patronizing our service men and women by waving mini-flags or wearing cheap lapel pins. Today is about pride - American pride. I don't care where you're from or what sports you like. The men's 4x100 meter freestyle swimming relay final from the Beijing Olympics brought out the patriot in us all. My family and I were literally jumping up and down in our family room as we watched Jason Lezac pull ahead. Do me a favor and take about a six-minute break from the grill and watch this race with the family (email subscribers click here). And save a few burgers for the big man. I'll be right over. Until next time...
Be a Good Sport!
